How it works

Step 1

Download the free StartCARE app on your device from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Once installed, open the app and select Begin.

Step 2

To perform a Network Scan, from the main menu, click on Advanced Tools.

Step 3

This will bring you to the Agent tools page.

From there, select Run a network scan.

Step 4

Place your device next to your router and press I'm next to the router.

Step 5

You will be asked to confirm if you're ready. To proceed click I'm there.

Step 6

The StartCARE app will perform some tests and collect some diagnostics about your connection.

This will take a few minutes to complete, please keep the app open while this test runs.

Step 7

The StartCARE app will use the diagnostics collected to make some suggestions to improve your connectivity and provide some helpful info.
