Drive north on Hwy 11 from Huntsville to Burk's Falls. Continue north to Pickeral and Jack Lake Rd, which is the first concession road north of the town. Turn right (east) and drive for 0.7 km to the bridge over the river. There is a small gravel parking area here, but it may belong to the house tucked in the woods. Please park on the side of the road. The cascade is immediately south of the bridge.

 Description

This is a small cascade of limited interest, just outside of the small town of Burk's Falls. The river flows over an exposure of bedrock, with one moderate steep fall about 1-2 m in height. The rest of the site consists of bedrock rapids.

The cascade is easily viewed from the road bridge, although it's difficult to get a good photograph because the falls faces away from the bridge. There is a house hidden in the woods on the right bank (looking downstream), and thus I would assume that that side of the river's edge is private property. You may be able to walk along the left bank of the river to get a better photograph from the bare rock outcrops overlooking the little falls. This may be private too, although I didn't didn't see any signs or dwellings indicating so. As always, please respect the land as if it were your own, and respect any signs that are posted.
