Sudbury

Follow Hwy 17 west from Sudbury to Nairn. Turn right on one of the side streets, go one block north, turn right and then look for the road that continues north. This road leaves the village, bends and goes down a hill. It meets a road near the river. Turn right and drive for about a kilometer to the generating station.

 Description

Nairn Falls has been all but obliterated by the development of a hydroelectric generating station. The drive along the river to the station is scenic, with barren highlands along the river in places, and a secluded picnic spot by the river is worth searching for. However, there is no waterfall here!

I also looked for High Falls, further upstream along the Spanish River. This site is fenced and I assume that there is also no falls here anymore (?).
