Haliburton |
From Lindsay, go north on Hwy 35 to Dorset, then go east on Haliburton Rd 8. Turn right when Haliburton Rd 8 turns right. Follow the road for about 2.5 km until you see the river through a break in the trees on the left side of the road. Watch for a short driveway on the left side of the highway, leading to a few big boulders (ie. this is not to a house). Park here, walk down the hill towards the falls. If you want to explore the bedrock ridge, turn right before reaching the falls and climb up the steep bedrock hill. |

| Description | |||||||
|
This is an interesting site to visit. The waterfall itself is not spectacular, consisting of several little cascades and a nice slide-class waterfall at the bottom. The slide is over a 30 degree mass of sloping, smooth bedrock. At low flow, the river passes over the slide as a thin sheet of water no more than a few centimetres in depth. |
