From Sault Ste Marie, drive east on Hwy 17 (Trans-Canada Hwy). You need to drive east for about 160 km. The waterfall is about 5 km east of Hwy 108 to Elliot Lake. The waterfall is just 20 m upstream from the highway bridge over the Serpent River.

 Description

It really isn't worth going out of your way to see this small cascade. However, if you're driving through the Algoma Region, you'll no doubt be following Hwy 17, and this falls is easily visible from the road. As always, be sure to pull well off the road when viewing any waterfall! The waterfall is about 20 m wide and maybe 2 m high. It is picturesque, though not inspiring by any means. I wouldn't expect that anyone would want to spend more than a few minutes here. You can spend a few minutes walking on the rocks beside the river, and photographs can be nice (provided you can somehow crop out the overhead hydro wires…).

A small building situated on the left bank (looking downstream) could house a micro-hyroelectric generating station, but I really don't know. A photograph of this waterfall was included in the Ontario Division of Mines' Geology and Scenery, North Shore Lake Huron Region guidebook, published in 1972.
