Follow Hwy 7 east from Peterborough, go past Havelock, and then turn south on Peterborough Rd 50. Just before the bridge upstream of Healey Falls, turn left on Coles Point Rd, and drive to the end at Crowe River Rd. Turn right on this road and drive a short distance to the Crowe River. A very small rapids is located on the left side of the road. The best rapids are located downstream of the bridge by about 300-500 m.

 Description

The Crowe Bridge Rapids are really not much of a waterfall. The largest falls is only about one meter in height, spanning the full width of the Crowe River. The prettiest spot however, is a little upstream, where the river bends and cascades over a gently tilted outrcop of sedimentary rock. The river is bounded by irregular, low cliffs of limestone, making for interesting, though relatively short hiking.

In order to visit the waterfall, you will have to enter the Crowe Bridge Conservation Area. This 10 hectare park borders the river and features swimming, picnicing and nature walks.

You may be able to visit this site off-season, when the gates to the conservation area are closed, but this may be trespassing (?)
