 Description

This is another example of how to ruin a pleasant waterfall: cover it by a big concrete bridge and surround it by townscape. Only a few minutes walk upstream along the trail from the main Bracebridge Falls, the waterfall is worth a quick visit, although don't expect to make beautiful landscape photography here.

A small building to the left of the falls houses a hydroelectric plant, built in 1902. It replaced the first hydro station built for a small municipality in Ontario, which was located beside Upper Bracebridge Falls and built in 1894.
