Go west from Ottawa on Hwy 417 to Hwy 7. Continue west to Carleton Place, and turn right on McNeely Ave. Drive north for about 2.5 km to the river crossing. The topographic map shows another set of rapids further downstream, but I have not yet had a chance to search for these. |

|
This is a long, gently sloped rapids on the Mississippi River in the east end of Carleton Place. This is nothing fancy, but the trail along the right bank of the river is an interesting walk through the woods. |
