Interesting Links I Frequent
Photo Links
- The Speed & Crown Graphic Site - a perfect spot if you own an old press camera, like me and my Crown Graphic.
- Bender Photographic - Where I ordered my first 4x5 camera from. See my Bender FAQ for more information.
- Quan-Tuong's LF Site - a great site for any LF photographer. Tons of information. Perhaps the best overall LF site on
the web for it's sheer volume of information.
- Eight Elm Camera A good store in Toronto for hard to find supplies such as PMK, Azo paper, and more. If you are a
LF photographer, this is the kind of place you would spend a chunk of lottery winnings in. :)
- Jimmy MacDonald - Jim used to call London, Ont. his hometown once upon a time, now he wanders the Artic Tundra
capturing LF, B&W images. Facinating site to explore, unique images.
- Black & White World - Not specifically a LF site, but a nice site for B&W photography. Beside, B&W and LF go
together like peanutbutter and banana. :)
- Cyanogen Productions - a commercial site, owners Peter Ceravolo and Doug George are currently experimenting with
the contruction and use of 4x5 sheet film astrographs. It was from Peter that I obtained the lens for my 4x5 astrograph.
- Bruno Navarro's Links - This is a wonderful site. Bruno has one of the most comprehensive list of photographers on
the web I have ever seen. Good place to look around for any type of photo site.
- Leslie Abromovitz's Links - Self Professed photographer of the bizzare, both a good site and a great list of links.
- Schneider Optics - another commercial site, but a lot of good information on LF lenses
Astro-photograpy Links
- Richard Bright This site is wonderfull. Perhaps the best maintained and updated list of astro-photo links on the entire web.
Bookmark this one for certain.
Good Astronomy Links
- - Astronet's link list - Astronet Magazine is a great on-line zine for amature astronomers. Comes out twice a month on the
1st and the 15th. I carry current and back copies (text only) on my BBS.
- - the ATM page list of links - we have a strong atm group here in London. Good place for information,a nd a good list of
links.
Amature Astronomy Clubs & Associations
- London Centre, RASC - the place I call "home" once a month.
- HAA - Hamilton Amature Astronomers - or "Hellish Ambominations of Astromony" as I like to call them. Next to the
London Centre RASC, these people know how to have fun, What is really good is thier fantastic links to just about every
single amature astronomy association in Canada. If you are looking for Canadian groups outside of the RASC, this is the
place to look.
- David Lane I should list the National RASC web page here, but David is webmaster for both the national and Halifax
centres. You will find links to all RASC Centres both here and on the London site. This page also contains some nice
photos, links to my favourite planetarium program ECU, and more.
- Hamilton Centre, RASC - more pollution on the web. Scum sucking bottom dwellers, but hey, you gotta love 'em. Some
good info on the CookBook CCD camera . .....(unfounded rumours suggest a rivallary between London and Hamilton)
Photo Related Usenet Newsgroups
Nothing to do with Astronomy, but interesting anyhow
(lots of weird, sci-fi stuff)
- The Red Dwarf FAQ - my 2nd favourite sci-fi show on TV.
- The Lurker's Guide to Babylon 5 - the BEST sci-fi show ever on TV !
- The Spolier Junkies B5 Page - Couldn't live without this place. :)
- Sci-Fi Weekly - Actually, it comes out more like bi-weekly, but a great on-line 'zine.
- - Tu Cows - - This is a great place to find internet related software for just about any operating system. All software is
reviewed and rated form 1 to 5 cows. The irrevlant humour just makes it that nicer to use. Fast too.
