All About Me
I was born in Windsor, Ontario on January 31st, 1973. In the fall of 1978 we moved to Owen Sound, Ontario where I grew up and went to school. After graduating high school I studied at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario where I majored in music performance. During my first semester my mother moved to Oshawa, Ontario and I joined her in the spring. after a brief 2 year break, I went to Nipising University in North Bay, Ontario where I earned my Bachelor of Education degree. I have been teaching for the last few years (mostly substitute) for the Durham District School Board, and I am currently the Band Director/Music Teacher at Immanuel Christian School in Oshawa.
In my "free" time I play in the Oshawa Civic Band, as well as The Oshawa Temple Band of The Salvation Army. I am a commissioned officer in the Canadian Forces, Cadet Instructors Cadre branch, and hold the rank of Lieutenant (Navy). I am the executive officer and director of music for Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps "HARWOOD" in Ajax, Ontario and I was also the Youth Band Leader at The Salvation Army Oshawa Temple for 5 years.
I have spent my last 12 summers instructing at various Cadet Summer Training Centres in the Music and Standards (quality control) departments.
