Uploading Web Pages

This setup information is for Start Communications customers who wish to upload their personal web pages using the graphical explorer included with Windows 98, ME and XP.

Step 1.

Open Internet Explorer type in the location of ftp://ftp.start.ca and hit enter.

Step 2.

Enter your FTP user name and password, which is the same as the user name and password used to access your email. Once completed click on the Log On button.

Step 3.

You should now see an explorer window that has a directory called public_html, double-click that directory.

Step 4.

Open the folder on your computer that contains your web site. Select all those files and drag them into the web directory you opened. You should now be able to see your web site at www.start.ca/users/username where the 'username' part is the same as the user name you used to log into your web directory.
